Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DREAM SPORTS DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT AG collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit the Dream Sports Platform website or contact us, and the rights you have under Swiss and, where applicable, European data protection law.

01Controller and applicable law

1.1The controller responsible for processing your personal data in connection with the Website is DREAM SPORTS DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT AG, a company limited by shares (Aktiengesellschaft) incorporated in Switzerland ("we", "us", "our").

1.2We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection of 25 September 2020 ("FADP") and its Ordinance. Where we offer the Website to, or monitor the behaviour of, individuals in the European Union or European Economic Area, we also comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 ("GDPR") to the extent it applies.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data and ask you not to include it in Submissions.

03Purposes and legal bases

Under the FADP, processing is lawful where it complies with the Act's principles. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the legal bases indicated below.

We do not use your personal data for automated individual decision-making or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects.

04Recipients

4.1We do not sell or rent your personal data. We disclose it only to:

  • service providers acting on our behalf as processors, such as website hosting, content delivery, account authentication and database hosting (Supabase, with data stored in the EU), website analytics with your consent (Google Analytics), email and IT providers, bound by contract to process data only on our instructions and to keep it secure;
  • professional advisers, such as lawyers, auditors and accountants, bound by confidentiality;
  • prospective partners or investors, and their advisers, in the context of a corporate transaction, under confidentiality obligations;
  • authorities, courts or other third parties where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

05International transfers

5.1Some of our service providers may process personal data outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA. We transfer personal data abroad only to countries that the Swiss Federal Council has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection or, where the GDPR applies, that are covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

5.2Where no adequate level of protection exists, we implement appropriate safeguards, in particular the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as recognised and, where necessary, adapted for Switzerland by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, or rely on a statutory exception. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards at info@dsp.game.

06Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:

07Cookies Policy

7.1Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the Website to function and do not need consent, and, only if you click "Accept", optional cookies for analytics. If you click "Decline", no optional cookies are set and any previously set optional cookies are deleted.

7.2With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how visitors use the Website (pages viewed, approximate location, device, traffic source and actions such as sign-ups). Google Analytics runs in Consent Mode: until you click "Accept" it sets no cookies and only receives anonymous, cookieless signals that cannot identify you. IP addresses are not stored. Google may process data in the United States under the EU–U.S. and Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks. We do not use advertising cookies.

7.3You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via (also available in the footer of the Website) or by deleting cookies in your browser settings.

08Security

8.1We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration and disclosure, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access controls on a need-to-know basis and contractual safeguards with our service providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; we will notify you and the competent authority of a data breach where required by law.

09Your rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions of applicable law, you have the right to:

  • obtain information on whether we process your personal data and receive a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate personal data corrected;
  • have your personal data deleted or its processing restricted;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;
  • receive personal data you provided in a commonly used electronic format, or have it transmitted to another controller (data portability);
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise these rights, write to info@dsp.game. We may ask you to verify your identity and will respond within 30 days (under the FADP) or one month (under the GDPR), which may be extended where permitted by law.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch) or, where the GDPR applies, with the supervisory authority of your place of residence or work in the EU/EEA.

10Children

10.1The Website is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

11Third-party services

11.1When you follow links to Steam, Medium, LinkedIn, Discord or other third-party services, those providers process your data as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. Please review them before providing any information.

12Changes to this policy

12.1We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our processing or in the law. The current version is always available on this page with its effective date. Where changes are material, we will inform you on the Website and, where required, ask for your consent again.
